During simultaneous christenings in Amsterdam and Rostock, Germany, Viking welcomed 10 award-winning Viking Longships and two custom vessels for the Elbe River to its European fleet.

The Viking Osiris Naming Ceremony

On August 22, 2022, on the banks of the Nile River, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon named Viking’s newest ship, the Viking Osiris. Only miles away in the fabled Valley of the Kings, Howard Carter, with the Earl’s great-grandfather, discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun, one hundred years ago this year.

Viking Mississippi Float Out

February 2022. The 386-guest Viking Mississippi® was “floated out” in Louisiana, marking a major construction milestone and the first time the ship has touched water. Set to debut in summer 2022, the Viking Mississippi will sail Viking’s highly anticipated voyages on the Lower and Upper Mississippi River, between New Orleans and St. Paul.
