St Petersburg in Russia
"The tour guides in each town and city were extremely knowledgeable and spoke fluent English, as did every member of your cruise staff.”

About St. Petersburg

Russia’s second largest city, St. Petersburg has been called “Venice of the North” for its many islands, canals and bridges. An industrial and cultural center, it is one of the most harmonious and splendid cities in Europe and Russia’s most beautiful. The historic area is filled with monuments and cathedrals; among these is the renowned Hermitage, filled with more than three million items including works by Da Vinci, Rembrandt and Michelangelo. Other highlights of the city include St. Isaac’s Cathedral, and Peter and Paul Fortress. Visitors will also want to spend time in Nevsky Prospekt, a key shopping district lined with stores, cafés and theaters.
