Pre-Extension: Amsterdam
3-night pre-extension in Amsterdam - $899 per person
Day 1
Transfer to the canalside 5-star Hilton (or similar), within walking distance of Museum Square, the city’s upscale shopping areas and the Vondelpark, a beautifully designed park named for 17th-century Dutch writer Joost van den Vondel. The rest of your day is at leisure to stroll beside the Vondelpark’s ponds and canals, explore Amsterdam’s charming neighborhoods and sample some treats.
Day 2
Today, every member of your party will receive a prepaid Amsterdam Card. Cardholders get an unlimited three-day public transport ticket, a full-color city guide, and admission to many of the city’s top attractions, including the Rijksmuseum with its superb collection of the works of Dutch Masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt, the Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt House, Dutch Resistance Museum, Biblical Museum and much more. A Viking concierge is available to help you plan your time in Amsterdam so you can make the most of your visit. This evening, dine in a local restaurant—Amsterdam offers many establishments in the “grand café” style and is also known for excellent Indonesian cuisine—and enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife. (B)
Day 3
You have a full day to further explore this “Venice of the North.” Use your Amsterdam Card to get around, or you might like to rent a bicycle and ride through the city Dutch-style. Be sure to visit the famous Anne Frank House; tour the “Secret Annex” where Anne Frank wrote the diary that became an international bestseller translated into more than 50 languages. Enjoy a final dinner in one of Amsterdam’s many cafés, and explore a bit of the city’s nightlife—attend a classical or jazz concert or take a peek at the city’s famous Red Light District. (B)

We will take you to your ship or to the airport for your return flight. (B)
