Pre-Extension: Berlin
2-night pre-extension in Berlin - $399 per person
Day 1
We meet you at the airport and transfer you to the superior first class Hilton Berlin (or similar), located.* Relax or begin exploring the city a bit on your own.
Day 2
This morning you have a panoramic tour of Berlin’s highlights, including the City Hall, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Cathedral and the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Continue your tour to the Reichstag (Parliament Building) and remains of the Berlin Wall. Return to your hotel, then take the rest of the day to visit Charlottenburg Palace or one of Berlin’s many museums. Enjoy a beer garden and the city’s diverse and vibrant nightlife—theater, opera, orchestral music or the club scene. (B)
Day 3
Enjoy a full day on your own in Berlin—visit one or two of the city’s 153 museums, stroll through the Tiergarten park, sample the city’s unique cuisine: German but with international influences. Your river cruise group will be arriving this afternoon and evening; tomorrow morning you join them on a journey to Potsdam. See the Elegant Elbe itinerary description for details. (B)
