Extend your journey by discovering the Czech Republic's vibrant capital, the "City of a Hundred Spires." Tour Hradcany Castle and its palaces, churches and museums, visit Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, and stroll across Charles Bridge. Explore Prague's Jewish heritage in the Josefov Quarter and encounter local culture in historic Wenceslas Square. Three nights at the Hilton Prague (or similar), daily breakfast, panoramic city tour and the services of a Viking host are all included.

Pre-Extension: Bucharest & Transylvania

Day 1

Welcome to Bucharest. We meet your flight and transfer you to the superior first class Athenee Palace Hilton (or similar) in the heart of the city with the former Royal Palace and great shopping at your doorstep.* The rest of the day is free.

Day 2

A motorcoach takes you through Romania’s mysterious Transylvania; stop for a brief city tour of Brasov. Check in to the Ramada Brasov (or similar) followed by free time to explore the sights, including the dramatic Gothic-style Black Church. (B, D)

Day 3

Travel to Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad Tepes, a Wallachian prince better known as Dracula. Visit the renowned fortified church of Biertan, one of a series of fortified churches that comprise a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon and evening at leisure. (B, L)

Day 4

Today, tour Dracula’s Castle and Peles Castle, a romantic fortification in beautiful Sinaia. You then return to your hotel in Bucharest for a free evening to explore the city's wide boulevards and gracious architecture. (B, L)

Day 5

After breakfast, we take you to your ship to begin your cruise. (B)
