Esztergom, Hungary & the Danube Bend

Enjoy a tour of Esztergom, capital of Hungary from the 10th to mid-13th century. The medieval streets of Old Town recall days of Magyar princes. You’ll admire the massive green dome of its basilica rising above the Danube’s banks. Later, take in the natural beauty of one of the river’s most beautiful stretches today, the Danube Bend. Here, the emerald-green Transdanubian and North Hungarian Mountains flank the waterway as it curves sharply west toward Vienna. (B, L, D)
