We traveled with two close friends of ours and had a wonderful time—the food was excellent, the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable, and the many extras made the whole experience memorable (wine with dinner, planned excursions with buses at every stop at no extra charge, clean and comfortable rooms, a large bottle of water in our room every day, entertainment almost nightly). We spent several days in Berlin before the cruise and several days in Prague after the cruise—we highly recommend this extra time. We plan to do another cruise next year.”

“We just completed this cruise that started in Kiev and ended in Odessa. We had a wonderful time and thought the cruise and its itinerary were very good. We had a brilliant lecturer on board and of course the sites of Kiev (a gem), Yalta and Odessa are just fabulous. The river itself is a restful journey, stopping at two towns along the way. The ship is extremely clean, well-organized and our room was pretty and quite comfortable; housekeeping were extraordinary in their work and took immediate action if anything was needed. The crew and staff are great—efficient and extremely friendly, nice people who try very hard to make your experience a good one. The food is very good, varied with quite large portions. The trip is well worth it and a great deal of fun. I have taken many cruises and I cannot think of a negative on this one. A great experience, especially if you are a history buff! We loved it.”

“As second-time Viking cruisers (Russia was fabulous!) we knew we’d be well cared for, but the Mekong cruise was far beyond our expectations. The (chartered) RV Tonle was a really cool ship with a capable and helpful crew. After our tour leader showed us the history and bustle of Saigon, the cruise up the river was truly a trip into a different world. Our days in Cambodia were some of the most exotic travel experiences we’ve ever had. We plan to go back to Cambodia next year to spend more time in the Angkor Wat temples. Our Viking cruise was the best introduction to this fascinating and wonderful part of the world. My wife and I have recently been studying the Viking River Cruises brochures to spot our next trip to a wonderful new location. All of the Viking staff have made us want to be regulars.”
